  • H&M Tanoa Development Discussion

    We have loaded H&M Tanoa with much work by B_Wilco. It is still kinda rough but we want something fresh again so this should tide us over until we get our new submissions which are in the works.

    In the meantime, leave your fix list or idea list here for consideration.

      Observations/notes:

      ​​​​​​Vehicles outside southern FOB spawned without wheels

      Even after sever crash and restart, the game was saved. (Not necessarily a bad thing but just a note.)

      The 1 long range radio (small) doesn't place right. It pops in down around your ankles.

      Still having an issue where the arsenal "steals" your short range radio.

        - removed underwater generator, civ medical on land and boat,and Mines side task. They are ones that are either impossible to do or not popular. They can be added again later.
        - VVS related TV's, markers, and pads removed
        - redesigned the FOB
            -enclosed the entire area
            -added roads and lights
            -replaced the light pole in the center. swapped it with a pole found on that map(used right across the street)
        - added 24 new vehicles for the ground
            -2 x BTR-80
            -more UAZ both armed and unarmed
            -1 x BMP-3
            -armed and armed BDRM-2U
            -2 x small command vehicle
            - flat bed trucks for supplies
        - added KA-60 helo and pad for smaller transport
        - updated LP to have the KA-60, MI-8 Heavy, and MI-28N attack helo
        - copied the boats from the main base to the FOB. did not test if respawn worked.

        Note: After playing on the server last night I fixed a few things I'd added this morning.
        
        - boobyTrap will fire upon west being killed instead of east
        - added TaskForceRadio info board
        - removed western arsenal added by fn_TGAceArsenal.sqf
        - named all playable units for easier debug and admin access
        - moved FARP where I thought you might have
        - changed default backpack radio to eastern type
        - added lighting around main base
        B_Wilco - Rather than send you a discord mssg at 3:30am you might consider reducing the vehicles at the base because
        • they may blow up and cause horrible chain reactions (especially if you used vehicle respawn)
        • should not be needed if vehicles are available from Logistics Point and could then reduce processing unused vehicles
        The base updates look amazing btw!


        @All - I'm curious because adding am ACE arsenal via a script was removed, does this affect the SR radio bug in the arsenal? Just suspecting these two things could be related.

          All the vehicles placed are set in to the H&M default system where recovery is required for respawning on the LP. I gave a collection of vehicles to judge the reaction to them. I might drop the BTR's, BMP, and BDRM's and add those into the LP. However, i would like to keep the GAZ's, UAZ's, and KamAZ's as a way to have vehicles offered in without using the LP too much. The FOB will probably stay the same.

          I get have the same radio issue on the other versions of H&M as well. ACE arsenal in general maybe?

          Unkl. Could you send me what you updated or just the bit to fix that one part. I set up the file i sent you to be open to edit by you thinking maybe we could bounce it back and forth that way.

            File thing sorted....the radio thing that is what I'm not sure of. Is the scripted ACE arsenal or does the editor version not do it? The H&M versions have thus far all used a scripted arsenal because it is easier to edit. The upload this morning is the only one that didn't use the script so we will see tonight I guess.

                      Converted a copy of the latest version to USMC vs 186 - National forces. It was requested a few times and i dropped a few hours to do it.

                      I know Mik also did it so i'm just going to leave it here and move on.

                      No real changes made outside of the obvious.

                          + tested to verify spawning properly
                          + set Independent to be hostile to Blufor
                          + Enemy will not have air support this time, but are packing plenty of heat without it.
                          + Fewer GL's this go around.
                      -assets swapped with proper equipment in storage
                      -player slots created, sorted, and kitted with basic loadouts
                          + removed unneeded crew and Logistics officer then moved those slots to riflemen. Squad size now 13
