  • Random HALO possible?

    Is it possible to have a random HALO drop along a predetermined flight path?

    Like the Domi map where you can HALO in from the flagpole at a spot of your choosing. Could the same be done but you have no choice where you are dropped but it is somewhere along a predetermined path?

    Iím am very slowing learning the editor so go easy on me.

    This isnít for a mission but personal use or anyone that wants it. I am trying to do something to help my non-gps land nav and want to simulate the same ďwth am IĒ feeling I get during certain missions with out it getting easy to memorize the start point. And flying up, jumping out and running to a random spot just doesnít have the same urgent feel that real missions have.

    Basically it goes like this.
    [Light Opfor Outposts/ random civ transport placed around]
    Spawn-grab gear
    Run to teleport
    Teleport into a random bird(s) that is flying along a pre-set path
    HALO out
    Find my way to the checkpoints in random order (They are set as tasks)
    Learn non-gps land nav

        If your plane is flying in circles along a pre-determined path what you're asking is easy to implement: When the player is teleported into the bird disable his controls
        Code:
        disableUserInput true;
        Start a random timer(replace maxtime with the maximum waiting time)
        Code:
        sleep (random maxtime);
        Re-enable userinput
        Code:
        disableUserInput false;
        Immediately following that kick the player out of the aircraft :)
