  • setting vehicle damage.

    I am working on a small SF mission and I need to make it so a C-130 is already destroyed at the beginning of the mission and also make it so that the burning wreckage lasts for x amount of time. I tried setting the vehicle armor to 0 but that doesn't work.

    Could someone provide the necessary tools to make this work?

    Is it on the ground so you can set a trigger for an explosion? Or is it in the Air?

      I don't think having C130 with value of 0 will make it a wreck initially.
      Try typing inside the Init box; C130/this setDammage 0.8 (1 being full).

      Simple but crude trick would be to place a 'fireplace (lit)' inside/underneath the C130.
      Inside its init line type: NameofFireHere setInFlame true

      After a certain objective/trigger is met/done, type "NameofFireHere setInFlame false"

        Ghost, it's already destroyed so It would be pointless for it to be in the air...

        well the fireplace doesn't burn large enough to create the large smoke stack that would occur if a c130 were to be burning.

          You could use one of these to make a fire-effect that lasts as long as you want it to.

          Then put this to C130 init to get a wreck without an explosion:

          this setDamage 1;
          or to have it blow up when the mission starts:
          Code:
          yaddayadda = this spawn {sleep 0.01; _this setDamage 1;};
