    CO.IN. Of the Realm is a unique persistent counterinsurgency mission with both TVT/COOP elmetns it is JIP with 2 min respawn and can accommodate 15-60 players

    For those of you who remember Operation Rhino from ARMA1 Avgani, this mission is a bit like that.

    There are two player sides, the American army equipped with a variety of hummers and an insurgent force. However, technically both sides are optional because the other has AI assistance. This allows the mission to be played as either coop or TVT

    Each side has both offensive and defensive goals. The Americans must protect critical infrastructure and personnel in the green zone. They are staged from a well protected (but not impenetrable) air base. Meanwhile, they must also attempt to search for and destroy or disarm the insurgents caches of heavy weapons and explosives. To assist the army a small contingent of indigenous paramilitary personnel (AI) have been placed in static defenses around the critical components in town. However, the unit is poorly equipped and trained so they will need to (ideally) be bolstered by an American presence.

    Meanwhile, the insurgents are dispersed in five man teams in the suburbs armed with civilian vehicles and light weapons. They will need to access the ammunition caches for heavier weapons in order to destroy the infrastructure in the green zone. They are staged from strong points in areas controlled by tribal militia and are therefore are out of the reach of the Americans for a time. Defensively, the insurgents must use guerrilla tactics to defend their caches. However, they have made agreements with local militias (AI) who use static positions to defend the caches for American seizure.

    Win conditions are
    Americans: Destroy all caches
    Insurgents: Destroy the five marked pieces of infrastructure

    Just a quick question, whats the method for creating a marker visible only to one side?

      So it would be something like if side = "EAST" then createmarkerlocal ?

        I'm updating this to make it ACRE and ACE compatible, any other feedback from those of you who have played this would be appreciated.

          Welcome back Sam.
          Perhaps lowering the respawn time would be more suitable, and may I suggest making one version for ACRE and one without. Since currently ACRE is in its testing phase. Also, will there be revive or just respawn from their respective areas? If there is revive, I would suggest the option of respawning also.

            No revive (although there is the ACE medical system now). Respawn time is 120 seconds for the larger version (COIN of the realm 60 players) and 110 seconds for the smaller version (Police action) I think these are fairly modest considering there is almost no transit time between objectives and strong points.


            As for ACRE, it is now entirely optional. Each player has a short range radio and the strong points have a limited number of long range sets. However, if ACRE were disabled the radios could simply be ignored and not picked up and everything should still play smoothly.
