  • Adding ACE backpacks to loadouts - bug

    I have reason to believe that one of the new mods killed the ability to add an ACE Backpack.

    Try adding this to the init line on a test map"

    this addbackpack "ACE_Rucksack_MOLLE_DMARPAT_Medic";

    This is a typical ACE-styled Medic backpack.

    Everytime I try it using the Bravo server presets, it blows up with a crazy error:

    Bad Vehicle Type ACE_Rucksack_MOLLE_DMARPAT_Medic

    This is the right ID for the Ace ruck... http://browser.six-projects.net/cfg_weapons/1625116


    ...yet I can pull one of these out of an ammo box and it works fine. What the heck???

    I can't figure this out. The addbackpack command works for all non-ACE backpacks still. All ACE-backpacks do not work with the command.

    I should note that someone found a related bug/conflict regarding ACE backpacks and the ASR mod:

    This would really suck if we can't use ACE backpacks in unit loadouts anymore. :(

    This also affects the ability to give units items such as Mortars and other static weapons that need to be mounted. Ie, mortars, M2, weapon tripods, etc.

      Edit: please ignore this... really tired. I'm a total idiot and used the wrong code. addweapon not addbackpack... duh...
