  • Updating mods problem

I'm having problems updating my mods with sixupdater.
As always I select the Bravo preset and then click "Install or update mods".
After it's finished the same mods stay yellow, indicating there's an update.
Same for the expansion/beta. I delete the old folder. SU tells me version 130 is available. After installing, it installed version 129 again.

    Too long, didn't read:
SU shows new versions of mods but doesn't install them.

    Re: Updating mods problem

Have you started SixUpdater with Administrator mode?

Have you checked to see that the mods were not being saved into "servermods" folder within your ARMA2 install directory?

    Have you synced your SixUpdater?

Those are the questions that comes into my mind so far. Perhaps others may find an answer.

      Thanks you for your answer.

I'm running SU in admin mode and the mods are not being saved in the servermods folder.

      I did not sync SU.
Can you explain how to do this?

Not yet, I'm currently at work.
Will try in a few hours.
If that fails I will also try to sync SixUpdater.

            Re: Updating mods problem

Bram I will try to get on later and give you a hand. You are not the only one that has had this problem and it is mostly at the repository end and not anything you are doing. Make sure SU is set to run as Administrator in the properties area. Do a ping test, found at the top of SU by clicking the Sync with SU button or tab. I don't have a time to set as of now but will try to get on and look for you when I am able.

              Re: Updating mods problem

I tried "Sync with SU portal".
After that the update still fails.

I have a log of SU but I can't paste it here.
Post gets denied and I don't know why.

                Re: Updating mods problem

I did the ping test, without luck.
I even deleted the mods from my Arma folder and let SU reinstall them, but it installed the old ones again.

I have been looking for you in TS. I saw you once but when I was ready to help you, a few minutes later, you disconnected. I will try as often as I am able to look for you.

So I reinstalled Six Updater but now I can't even launch it.

                      Re: Updating mods problem

                      Problem fixed.
Didn't know there was a new version of the old Six Updater.
So I installed SU 2.9.7 (previous was 2.9.6) and was able to update all the mods.
Thanks to all that have tried to help out.
