This problem only exists in arma.
After i get in game, sometimes my graphics card driver stops responding and screen goes black for 10-15 seconds then recovers.

    Re: graphics card problem

I know it's obvious but it must be said....try to update your latest graphics driver from nvidia. Make sure you delete the old drivers using something like drivercleaner. I usually defrag my hd after that then install the new driver.

      Re: graphics card problem

      Only suggestions:

Go into NVidia Control Panels/Manage 3D Settings/Go to the Programs Settings Tab and add your ArmA.exe to the list if you don't already have one.

Go down the list there and try using 1 for Maximum Pre-rendered Frames.

Also (in the same settings scrollbox) turn Vertical Sync to "Force Off".

Make sure to hit APPLY in the lower Right Corner after setting your options.

I've been having the same problems as you but these tips have seemingly cured me.

It also wouldn't hurt to get ServicePack 2 for your OS.

          Re: graphics card problem

I am happy to report that i have just played 3 missions and not a problem.
Looks like the cp render frames was the problem as i already had vsync forced off.
          Thanks for help guys.
