  • Joystick Sensitivity ACE2 MP vs. SP?

For all the ACE2 joystick pilots out there:

Why does the sensitivity feel different in MP than SP?

I was flying (joystick=FoxPro2) the UH60 last night in Domination (2) and the sensitivity felt different than if I were playing in single-player. The throttle slider was more sensitive than usual and the yaw, pitch & roll felt less sensitive. I checked in the Ace configs for any setting related to the flight controls but I couldn't find squat. (?)

I never noticed any change in my joystick, I use an X52. It may have something to do with the lag that you get from the server detecting your imput maybe?

Or the very slight possibility that if you are using yoma's addonsync to start Arma2, that you have not told it to use the correct in-game profile. There is a drop down menu when you are in the lauh tab to select it.

If it wasnt using the correct profile then the entire joystick wouldn't work though, correct? Becuase it technically wouldn't be mapped out. I may be way wrong on that though.

also if you use yoma to launch your SP missions itd use the same profile either way

do you always notice this or is it just one night?

Hmm, not using Yoma to start the .exe

It's not like this just started happening last night; it was a couple of months ago when I had to fly in another mission that I first noticed it but I finally had to inquiry. Might be time to get a new stick anyway.

I'm on broadband and usually get a 60 ping.

Is there like a HUGE difference in flight characteristics between the two game modes? I honestly think the problem could be more related to latency than anything else.

Yeah, across the board difference. The throttle slider sensitivity was huge. I had a hard time hovering over that Mobile MHQ LAV to hitch. I can live with it until I get another stick.
