  • Yoma "CPU Count"

Hey, I searched and did not see anything. I'm just wondering exactly what the option "CPU Count" in the launch game settings actually does. Does it force the game to use both cores of my duel core if I select 2, and will I need to switch it to 4 for my quad core?
Does this have any effect on performance at all?

    Re: Yoma "CPU Count"

Until BIS gets the OA code up to v1.07 I'm going to suggest people use the following parameters in the launcher:

    Dual-Core processor:
    -nosplash -cpucount=2 -exThreads=1
    Quad-Core processor:
    -nosplash -cpucount=4 -exThreads=7
    Hexacore processor:
    -nosplash -cpucount=6 -exThreads=7
This is from Operation Arrowhead performance optimizations/comparisons over at the BI ArmA forums.

So is that a yes? By enabling the option it has the same effect as using that parameter?

        Re: Yoma "CPU Count"

I believe it helps for OA as it sometimes doesn't recognize cores, or that's how I read it. I would just benchmark it without it set and then set them in YOMA and run the benchmark again. Main thing it's supposed to help with is the game stuttering. The benchmarks always stutter for me, but after setting those settings in YOMA it no loger studdered in MP.
