Here's a quick guide to video setting optimization.

I'm using these with good success:

    Re: DayZ SA Video Settings

Today I logged in for a bit and the whole world was blurry. I figured it was a hunger, thirst or blood effect, but when I went into my video settings the world instantly became clear. Just a note in case others see similar behavior.

Thanks for posting this boot. Will test it out tonight.

One note: Anti-aliasing and "Edge Smoothing" have pretty much the same end result. I suggest turning one all the way off to save cycles for something else.

Boot would you be kind enough to post your specs so I can get a better idea of expected performance vs mine with your settings. Despite having a reasonable rig I have been experiencing heavy fps drops at times (taking into account its an Alpha).

          Thanks

            I5 3570k @ 4GHz
            7950 3GB @ 1100/1475Mhz

I get 60fps in the wilderness (VSYNC limited) and 40's in the big cities:

I'm running an Intel Core i7 920 @ 2.67 GHz (stock speed), 8 GB RAM and EVGA NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570 @ 797 MHz (stock speed). The only setting I've changed from above is to turn the clouds to Very High, as it helps with night vision. I hover between 35-45 FPS usually. Not great, but playable.
