  • poll is PR still entertaining enough?

In my personal experience and after a round of waiting at an ied for 3 hours with no traffic. I decided it has gone too far and that there is just not a high enough fun/time ratio to justify waiting for that one good fight.

In other words, I think the mod has been led astray as much that it is finally totally broken.

I was interested in other people's opinions on this.

    RULES FOR THIS THREAD:

    DO NOT POST.

I want no discussion, or flaming for me saying the mod has become boring or anything like that. But I know people will do it so hence the rule.
This thread is to vote on the poll.
If you don't like it try to get the admins to remove it because I don't wan't to hear it.
    Remember: DO NOT POST.

*edit* color changed from red to a slightly more pleasant dark red.

Change the red Al, it hurts my eyes and is hard to read.

This poll could use another option in my opinion.
      • I see no problem with the mod, it is exciting enough.
      • It's okay, but it could use improvement.
      • It's too boring, too little action for my investment of RL time.

Interesting, but not surprising in the least to see the results so far. ;)

Just trying to help is all, sorry.

I don't think I've caused any kind of discussion from my post?

I guess, now that I think about it, I could have PM'ed you. Didn't realize this when I posted, my apologies.

I am one who likes to setup ieds around an area and wait. To me that is part of insurgency and even at times when setting up an ambush during known supply routes and troop movement areas on AAS maps.

Al, I am going with option C. I still find PR enjoyable and at times it can seem boring but if I get to that point instead of grumbling about it publicly I will get past it or just take myself out of the equation completely so I don't ruin other players game time.

i was gonna send you this as a pm Al, but your inbox is full, and wont accept the message.

you should come over to arma. for me it has all the things PR used to have (action, teamwork and a nice level of realism and immersion) there are quite a few people playing, and the more the merrier. also...there pr for it before too long...altho that might not be a good thing. ;)

Then don't play INS maps. IMHO When playing as an insurgent it really brings out those who are willing to defend and those who just want to attack, and it trickles over to AAS because there are many times that those SLs who can't stand defending a cache have issues when asked to defend a flag.

                        It's all relative.

If y'all were the kids I look after at my job, you all would have been put in the time-out room and given a red notice meaning no priviliges for that day. Jeez people have no discipline, or respect for what I was trying to do in this thread. Shame on you.

Just an observation, Al. Your poll has two options and they are not mutually exclusive which kind of flaws the whole intent of the poll, doesn't it?

I don't see though how something can be "too boring" AND "exciting enough"

I do think now that a five point scale (likert item) would have been better and avoids some wording issues which I did consider. I might do it over this way and kill this thread.

On the other hand getting a scale item brings all other kinds of problems and artefacts. E.g. people who feel more passionately will answer more strongly (5 or 0) and this will skew the total result. My god Psychodiagnostics, it's been long time since we were together. :)

My choice of options in this attempt was mostly dictated by the KISS principle, which is logical for a gay guy in a room full of boys no?
