  • My First Games of PR

    Hello TGers!

I jumped into my first game of PR last night and played my second one today. Just wanted to give a heartfelt thanks to the TG guys for welcoming me in and showing me the ropes.

Last night, my nickname was KoiZu but it might have been a little hard to pronounce so I decided to change it to something simpler-- Angelo.

In my first PR game, I hopped into a squad led by Brettwad and he and Pyrohair were very helpful. I was given little tasks to do like watch a flank (didn't spot anything). I was eventually set up with the specialist riflemen kit and I helped K_Rivers up to a vantage point getting some practice with the grappling hook. Even with these little things to do I had a great time and I enjoyed the slower pace (although intense!) much more than bfbc2. The highlight of that round on Beruit had to be when I first found my squad. We all hopped into a truck and the driver led us away, right off of a bridge into water!

Today I had my second game-- Crawly leading a squad and Vinnie in the mix. Had some major VOIP problems as I couldn't hear my sqaudmates TT. But Crawly, thanks so much for taking the time to show me around and helping me with my sound issues. I really appreciated it! Crawly was especially good about making sure that if I had any questions, to not hesitate to ask. Highlight of the round was spotting an enemy approaching, calling out the bearing, then Crawly setting the target marker and Vinnie vanquishing our foe.

Tomorrow, I'm signed up for the Basic Infantry class and really looking foward to it. Hope to learn the basics and meet more rookies like myself.

I've also decided to become a member right away because at night when trying to play the servers would be full, and I really like what TG is trying to do.

hope to see you guys online,

    Angelo

    Hi Angelo.
    Welcome to 'party' ;)

Glad your first experiences have been good ones! Rest assured you may have a few bad ones, but the good times (like the truck running off the bridge, lol) will provide plenty of laughs to get you through.

    Welcome again to the fray.
Q: How many members of Congress does it take to change a light bulb?
A: None. There is nothing wrong with the light bulb; its conditions are improving every day. Any reports of its lack of incandescence are delusional spin from the liberal media. That light bulb has served honorably, and anything you say undermines the lighting effort. Why do you hate freedom?!?

I am glad you changed from KoiZu, boy I was having a time saying that in squad. It was great having you in squad and don't hesitate to ask any questions, we will help. PR is a great game and it can get very intense.

Also, it was NOT me driving the river on Beirut, but it was me that stopped in the Logi in front of the truck which made the driver swerve into the river, LOL.

Hope to see you around in the future.
