  • JaFaR's Kit Of The Week! (Squad member)

I guess this forum is still not allowing most members to create polls, so we'll make this a pseudo poll. Post your responses.

Disclaimer: I'm doing this just for the hell of it, and because I'd like to have a little outside-the-box fun with PR in the next week or so.

I'm going to take a break from leading infantry squads for a little while, as I've been encountering some frustrations. I'll be stepping back to see what I can learn from being a member of other people's squads. Here's the twist I'd like to invite you all to participate in: choose the kit you'd like me to use for the next ten days on the server.
-Two contexts here: Infantry maps/layers, and combined arms maps/layers. Choose one kit for each layer; they may be the same kit.
-You may also specify regular (left-click) or alternative (right-click).
-Officer, Crewman, Pilot, and Unarmed are not valid options. That said, it also means I will not be doing armor, air, or commander for the next week.

Each day, I will select among the tied top-scoring kits and will use that for the day.

Have fun! See you on the battlefield.
Whether by air or on land
    foes crumble at my command.

    JaFaR Ironclad, at your service.

    AP alternate.

    Nobody uses it.

      Medic.

We need more people to learn how to use the medic class. On last nights PW night I managed to revive my squad who were wiped by a SAW and 2 or 3 other people. I didn't get involved with the fighting initially and I was the only one alive. i.e. the only hope for my squad to be revived.

I flanked the enemy inf and killed them and proceeded to revive my entire squad.

I feel if I have a good medic when I'm squad leading, I won't get frustrated since I know the medic can do his job without me having to intervene.

Jafar playing medic won't even make a subtle difference, most don't know about the patch-before-epipen trick among others, such as not throwing smoke on the body. If you want better medics, tell people what they should have done in tip form after they have done it.

On the flipside the AP kit is hardly ever used even though its really valuable. The wound range on the Claymore is HUGE.

A good medic can save squads countless of times. They can make a huge difference especially when an assault is taking place.

Only issue with that is only really Russia, Militia, and GB have Ironsights DMRs now. Everyone else has low-powered scope versioons.

See above, focusing on the use of smoke grenades.

I agree to disagree about the patch-before-epipen trick, or tactic, it all depends on the situation, just because you don't use that tactic/trick doesn't make you less of a medic imho. The key to a good medic is communication, and being able to tell the person upon being revived where he needs to go, as well as the squad putting down a huge amount of suppressing fire if told. Patience is key as well.

The above is just my opinion from my past and present experiences.
