    Campaign 11 Announced!
    Official Project Reality Tournament

The PRT Management Team is happy to announce the 11th Campaign of the Official Project Reality Tournament! Following the thrilling and balanced battles of Campaign 10 (decided by a grand finale). Once again, the PRT Staff have been working hard to prepare for this year’s tournament, and once again we aim to deliver the ultimate Project Reality experience.

The new Staff, consisting of PRT Veterans, are also excited to announce some brand new features for this campaign. Designed for newcomers and hardened veterans alike, the PRT will provide a professional atmosphere for all types of players to improve and experience PR at its best.

In this large-scale campaign, we are pleased to introduce two newly formed coalitions: The Pacific Defense Initiative (PDI) will fight against the Mediterranean Response Force (MRF). Both teams will be assigned specific factions to play in order to contest the other for supremacy in the tournament.

This campaign was adapted to fit the demands of all the changes of the mod that have been made since the last campaign. With PR going standalone and having celebrated its 10th anniversary this year, this tournament will show you how the mod is meant to be played!

We actively strive for a good team balance that will result in some of the most thrilling and organized matches you will have ever experienced. Sign up and work your way up in the hierarchy of your team. Train with your team mates and learn the best techniques of PR from the veterans. Organize events, collect map intelligence and develop battle plans and strategies to lead your team to victory!

    • Find new friends to play with - from all over the world! Enjoy PR with a tight-knit group of likeminded players
    • Battles take place every two weeks, Saturdays at 19:00 PR Time.
    • Training and playing sessions are organized by teams and squads.
    • Two new teams: "Pacific Defense Initiative" (PDI) and "Mediterranean Response Force" (MRF).
    • Dynamic campaign world map that pairs up a multitude of PR maps and layouts in several "Operations" requires strategy and planning between battles to win the campaign.
    • Extensive forums for preparation, communication and organization for both teams.
    • Tournament battle server and training servers for each team
    • ... and much more!

Our tournament coders and artists are working hard to create the new UI for the campaign operations board which will guide the teams throughout the campaign. You can access the current version of the interactive operations board here and read up on how it works in our FAQ.

To get both teams on track, Commander SignUps are now open! If you are willing and capable of leading one of the teams for the Project Reality Tournament (Supreme Commander) or lead a team ingame (Commander), please sign up now and post your application:

When the commanders applications have been reviewed and the commanders have been picked by the staff, the administration team will open SignUps for officers and grunts on the following dates:
    • The Officer Sign-Ups are scheduled to open on: September 14th.
    • The Grunt Sign-Ups are scheduled to open on: September 21st.

Make sure you apply in time to get a slot in one of the teams! Check here to get more info on the sign-ups.

The last campaign has been one of the most successful tournaments in the history of Project Reality. Read up on what the members of campaign 10 have to say:

Oh man. I might just try and join this. I was in an older one but had to pull out due to work.

Have you considered signing up as an SL or NCO?

No, I don't know if I've got the time to be reliable. Last time I was in one I signed up to be a NATO ground pounder. Even the training rounds were pretty fun.

I've been telling myself I should do this for years.

I'm gonna sign up as a leader on the 14th.

Yeah Cougar, you could (and should!) definitely do it.

It sounds like a lot of fun! But I'm afraid to even sign up as a squad member, I'm so rusty at PR...

Don't be afraid, I was an NCO for a squad last tournament from beginning through end and had a great time, I think you'll regret skipping out. Besides, part of the spirit of the tournament is welcoming new players and from seeing you play PR in the past I know that you've got a sight more common-sense in this game than they do. You'll be totally fine for sure. Having said that, I strongly encourage anyone else who might have the time to sign-up as well, Squad is well on its' way and that means that there's likely only so many PRT's left now. No time like the present!

OPFOR took a long, slow, painful time to unfrak itself in C10 (an experience so unpleasant I quit out of the tournament), it was evident to me that NATO had essentially no dysfunction from the get go but it's good to hear it confirmed first hand. Here's hoping C11 doesn't turn out to be such a crapshow for either side.

Mat, I'm really sorry that your experience was that bad last campaign. But you didn't really gave the campaign a fair chance, you left before it actually began. The tournament was down for years, of course the teams ran into some issues in their early development. The fact is this campaign was by far the most balanced campaign in the history of the game. Your team actually won the campaign.

I've not heard any similar feedback to yours and we ran a mid campaign survey, which you can find here: http://tournament.realitymod.com/showthread.php?t=33598

Going to have to agree with Curry on this one, the squad I was NCO for was EMF's (The OPFOR team) 2nd Inf and we got our assess handed to us in the pre-tourney battles but we played through that, won the first battle of the tournament something like 32 - 0 and ended up finishing the tournament by winning 6 battles to 5 and the last battle was won by capping a flag with 19 tickets left, it was super close all game long. You bowed out too early and missed the best part my friend! I had a damn good time through the rest of the tourney.

High Command announced - Officer SignUps Open

After reviewing the applications that reached us the past week, the Project Reality Tournament Team is proud to announce part of the High-Command Staff for both teams. Once teams are full and SignUps closed, the teams (PDI and MRF) will then be assigned to each SCO based on their preference and mutual agreement (if such exists).

                      Team A
Supreme Commanding Officer (SCO): Cossack, Latvia

This is the place where PR players come to test their mettle, and measure their abilities in the highest competitive environment in PR. If you want to push yourself, if you want to jump into the pressure cooker and see what you are made of this is the team for you. Get better, get out of your comfort zone, join me.

                      Cossack
                      Commanding Officer (CO): Aleon, Hungary

                      Team B
Supreme Commanding Officer (SCO): Danger_6, United Kingdom

My team will need people who will keep fighting in the face of defeat, people who will help others to improve and people who will create a fantastic and unforgettable tournament.

Join my team to participate in the ultimate PR experience. Forget PR as you know it and find something infinitely better.

                      Danger
                      Commanding Officer (CO): Fnixer, Denmark

With this setup, we have two experienced and skilled PRT veterans that have been very active in the community, gained alot of experience during C10 and thus have all the capabilities to perform on high standards and evolve throughout the campaign. The SCO's can now recruit further staff from their team's SignUps as well as have some of the other SCO/CO applicants join their ranks. The preparation time for both teams will give enough time to evaluate the performance of all staff and the teams are free to re-adjust the roles and responsibilities within their ranks as they see fit.

Both teams are now open for Officer and non-commissioned Officer Sign-Ups! Help leading the team you want to victory! For detailed instructions on how to sign up, follow this link:

The Admin team hopes for many good applications and is looking forward to welcoming you all to the Project Reality Tournament.

We would also like to announce that the PRT Wiki team has developed an advanced map gallery with many additional tools. The project is still work in progress and we are planning to implement many more features. Check out the live demo here: PRT C11 Map Gallery

                      Sign up now Cougar!
