-Xfire Live Chat with the PR Dev Team: January 23, 2008
Next week Xfire will be hosting a live chat with the development team behind Battlefield 2's highly successful Project Reality mod. We invite you all to join us on January 23 at 5pm EST (2pm PST, 10pm GMT) to be a part of it and find out all about the mod, the team, and it's future. This is your chance to put questions directly to the developers on any matter of your choosing. For those of you that can't make it, a full transcript of the chat will be available after the event.

Xfire Live chats are open to all Xfire users, but be sure to secure your place by visiting the Project Reality page and register your interest. If you are selected for a slot in the chat, you will receive an email from Xfire within 48 hours of the Live Chat. We hope to see you there!

    -Project Reality v0.71 Patch Update
With the release of Project Reality v0.7 now over two weeks old, we have received a tremendous amount of positive feedback from the community, but our work is far from over with v0.7. As expected with any major release, some issues have been identified that we are currently working to address in a patch, including the well known commander asset bug. Our current plan of attack is to release two separate patches on two separate dates. The first will be a server-side patch that will address some of the more critical bugs found in v0.7. Shortly after the server-side patch, we then plan on releasing a client-side patch. More information on what will be fixed and changed in the patch will come at a later date, but rest assured we are working hard behind closed doors to make the Project Reality experience the best it can be.

Your continued feedback is always appreciated and greatly received by the PR Development Team. If you encounter any bugs that have not already been reported, please post them in our Bug Section on the Project Reality forums.

-Royal Air Force Harrier GR9 W.I.P.
We have also begun pre-production on our next release, Project Reality v0.8. While still in the very early planning stages, we would like to present you with some eye-candy from what we plan on being one of the center pieces in v0.8, the Royal Air Force Harrier GR9. We decided to completely scrap our original GR7 model and replace it with the jaw-dropping new GR9 model and texture from our very own [R-DEV]Stigger. To complete the new Harrier, Stigger also modeled its entire payload, including the Lockheed Martin Paveway II LGB (Laser Guided Bomb), AGM-65 Maverick missile, and the Brimstone Anti-Armour missile. These new ordinance models will not be limited to just the Harrier GR9, but will also be outfitted on various other aircraft.

If you wish to add some Project Reality goodness to your PC desktop, be sure to download the new PR Harrier GR9 Wallpaper Pack below. Included in the .zip are three color variations of the wallpaper, each available in the following sizes: 1024x768, 1280x1024, and 1200x1600.

-PR voted "Best Modification" in Total Gaming Network’s Best of 2007
Project Reality has come out on top in yet another competition! We have been voted "Best Modification" in Total Gaming Networks Best of 2007 competition. The PR team is honored to have received this distinguished title from one of our largest affiliates. TotalBF2, a section of the Total Gaming Network, has always been a great supporter of not only Project Reality, but the Battlefield 2 modding community as a whole. We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the entire staff at the Total Gaming Network for their continued support and to everyone who voted for us. Cheers!

There is plenty more to come from the Project Reality Team, so keep checking back for news updates and also keep a close eye on the Dev Journal forums to watch the developer’s progress on various projects.

      Re: 0.71

Yeah, thanks alot. I had no doubt in my mind that PR was gonna be the best mod out there for BF2. Just goes to show that battlefield itself isnt good anymore, but the mods for it are a completely different game. I dont even consider PR bf2 anymore because it is so much different and better.

Do you really want invincible bears running around raping your churches and burning your women?

IRL it's still not in use, it's still in development.
The F-35 Lightning II comes out in service approx. 2011
The F-35A comes out in service approx. 2011
The F-35B comes out in service approx. 2012
The F-35C comes out in service approx. 2012

Doubt the devs would include a plane that doesn't even engage in any combat yet.

Damnit Blizzard, fix ZvT already >.<
