  • Password Night for 11th October

    Infantry Only at Tactical Gamer

    Date 10/11/08 Time 1pm PST

After the success of the previous infantry only night, we have returned with a new rotation of map, using the infantry layer to provide an intense but tactical game.

Password is available in this post - please read the entire post. Be on teamspeak at 1pm, match starts at 1:15pm, so each team has about 15 minutes or so fill up their side and plan.

The Maplist will be a mix of Jungle and Desert maps and is as Follows:

    Al Kufrah Oilfields --- 16
    Bi Ming --- 64
    Ejod Desert --- 16
    Kashan Desert --- 16
    Qwai River --- 16
    Muttrah city v2 --- 16

Patience with the admins organizing this event is urged!!! We will have little tolerance for being hassled - be forewarned.

Also please note that this is a passworded event, violations of rules will be met with harsh punishment.

Each team will need a CO to coordinate their team. Normal rotation will be restored around 8pm PST.

Hopefully most people will be able to make it at some point during the game, I look forward to it!

Re: Password Night for 11th October

Is there any chance that future Password nights can be set 1:15 or later? It's more than a bit of a close rush trying to get from class (ends 12:10-12:30) to home, especially when I have to rely on Muni buses. They're *supposed* to run every 20-30 minutes, but sometimes you can wait up to an hour. I wish they'd up the fare and frequency, 25 cents is a pittance.

If such a pushback would conflict with other people's schedules, I understand :)

Paragraph about the buses for those who care:
I live in Glendale, CA, and so the Municipal buses I'm talking about are the Glendale Beeline (GET THE JOKE?). It's basically an overdeveloped "shopper's shuttle" service, presented falsely as a system providing a service to people who live in Glendale (basically, it's HEAVILY subsidised by general taxes and only shop owners, and their customers, in downtown Glendale benefit). It has ~10 lines, but only two of those extend out of downtown, and they're poorly serviced, and only exist to link "main" downtown with other shopping districts and the local community college. Guess which line I ride on? The upshot of all of this is that, instead of paying 500-600 dollars a month for transportation (gas, insurance, maint, et al), I pay ~10-15 bucks. The downshot is that it can take upwards of an hour to get where you want to go if you're unlucky.

You're thinking of ze German accent man. The Scandinavian accent is almost like... Try to sound american or very British but they fail at both. (Not everyone though)

And i'll try to make it to the password event. Sounds like fun
