  • Idea for sm kicks

    Hi all,

I had an idea which i thought i might share, it may be really stupid so if the case u can all TK me next time u see me.

"when a supporting member joins the server, the "two" longest playing non supporting members are removed"

Simple idea, and just an extension on the one already in place.

    Cheers

What? Kick two non-SMs for each SM that joins?

I think a bit more of an explanation is needed here...

Why is the second person kicked?

So that one spot is made avaliable on the server. e.g. 62 to 61. When a supporting member joins the server just makes room for them. If this was implemented it would make room for a non sm. This may attract new potential sm and people to TG when the servers jammed.

But may also go sideways and make people not want to play on TG anymore...People are complaining about the SM kick as is, so making it double.. =/

Methinks the second edge of this sword is sharper than the first.

Now now, I see the positive in this. Doing this will also create more room for normal pubbies to join and experience TG. The server is seen as always full and many people don't bother trying to play on the server despite the great experiences on it. With SM kicks becoming more frequent due to rising Supporting Memberships, there will be more room for others to play.

There's no guaruntee that the person that takes the 62nd spot will be a "normal pubbie", whatever that means. It could be you Google. It could be the person that was the 2nd person kicked prior to the new SM joining.

As of now, I'm seeing lots of "KICKED FOR SM" messages in game. Just 1 SM for 1 non-SM alone is making a big impact on gameplay. There's no reason to double it.

Sorry, not the best idea I've heard...

I understand your reasoning, but what about the times when we have 5 or 6 sm's joining at once? That could really mess with the game when you have 10 people disconnect suddenly, even more than it does with the current system.

I didn't join a squad once and this guy named Nardini took me into the back room and beat me with a sock of oranges.
