  • Time zone confusion?

If your having problems with time zone conversion daylight savings and all that, then heres a web site for you:

    http://wwp.greenwichmeantime.com/tim.../central-time/

It is good to actually be able to look at the clock before scrim and be sure.

Note: the link is set on CST but sometimes the Admins use EST (depending on who is posting) so use the right side to changes time zone to EST when needed.

    This one is also good:

This is great for the euros! We should sticky this thing somewhere!

      Re: Time zone confusion?

The only confusion that arises is because someone sometimes decides to deviate from the GMT+/-X term, using stuff like EST or CEST. Stick with GMT and we'll all be happy. Also, since when did Norway become the Republic of Awesomeness, Superfast =p ? Since they started talking about free heroine?

        Re: Time zone confusion?

Since no one actually follows instructions to read the entire post, the scrim notice has a link in it to a time zone converter.

Actually to add to what dispo has posted in almost every sign up since i have joined TG there has been a link so you can check what timezone you are in within the sign up post.

We all appreciate and admire the work you do disp! Always!

But the link that Skylark provided is still useful.

              Re: Time zone confusion?

I agree with camlost, stick with GMT and make every euro-player happy. I actually think it is to complicated to find the right timezone to convert in the converter given in the sign-up posts. And I always feel uncertain of the result i get. Skylarks converter is great to use just before the scrims.

Would it be possible to just add GMT -6 along with CST in your sign-up posts? Would probably help a lot to avoid confusion.

                Re: Time zone confusion?

No matter what time it is posted in, someone somewhere needs to convert it to their local time.

Now, you might think I'm a jerk for posting this, but seriously, I don't understand what is so hard about all of this:

                What not to post?
                • "What time will it be in my time zone?" Work it out!
                • "It's not fair! I keep getting pushed out by Supporting Members!" Become one!
                • "I'm on the reserve list. How good are my chances of playing if I show up?" Very, very high. We cannot assure you'll get to play, but there are always drop outs.

                    Re: Time zone confusion?

I am fully aware of Disposables link to a time zone converter, my link is CST clock so there is no conversion and I'm sorry if this post is causing any problems/confusion.

                      Re: Time zone confusion?

You're correct - I posted CST, which is really CDT now. My bad. I think that this thread has run it's course, so the thread police are going to put up the yellow tape now and tell everyone that there is nothing to see here and go about your business.
