  • so my 'puter died...

well..its been a while gentlemen. after a MAJOR melt down of my machine, i am finally back in business. due to other financial obligations, i was forced to get new components one at a time, so it took quite a while to re-build. i just got the last piece of the puzzle (nvidia 9400 gt) this morning, and everything seems to work. i still need to re-install bf2, and pr, along with EVERYTHING else...then burn a bunch of backup dvd's (wish i was better about that BEFORE i lost almost everything) but i wanted to pop in and say hi, and i missed y'all. does anyone still remember me?

hope to be playing pr again soon!

                Re: so my 'puter died...

thanx fellers! i was on for a bit last night, but i had to disconnect to iron out some sound card issues to get my mic working...re-connected, and played for 20 minutes or so, and CTD :( *sigh* but i think that was a pr issue, not my new rig.

quick question: does anyone know why i cant check the box for mic boost in the audio settings? (it wont work in pr or in the vanilla control panel)

                thanx :D

Try the windows option, right click the speaker in the bottom right of the screen then go to advanced options and microphone, there should be a mike boost there, thats what i use.
