  • Mumble in MOTD?

    I've been meeting quite a few people lately who have never heard of mumble. So I was thinking it would be nice if there was something about mumble in the MOTD (message of the day) on the server. Something along the lines of "Use of mumble is encouraged! Join us! Download mumble at: URL (since I can't place links in posts yet..)"

    Thoughts?

      Good idea. And if people complain about "TOO MUCH GREEN SPAM" then they are not promoting team work.

          Mumble is included in the .9 install - everyone will have it. It is still their choice to actually use it.

            Bundled or integrated?
            P.S. I can't find anything about it, so I assume bundled.

                    I had to laugh at MOTD. I thought that the pastime of football was invading even this sacred geek-out;

                    (MOTD is the football highlights programme in England - there is no live football on normal TV, so this is an institution.)

                    I will leave that wormy can intact.

                        I presume it will be wise to uninstall mumble in its current form when .9 is released and reinstall it through .9 upon completion of downloading?

                          I doubt it'll matter unless they've advanced PRMumble beyond 0.5 or done something radically different with it.

                            Could you point me too the old thread where it was disscussed please? I can't see a good reason not to use it either. So I would like to see the other side of the coin.
                            Thanks Todd
