Approved ribbons through July 2, 2010. Congratulations gentlemen!

    Award: Distinguished Squad Leader

    Class 1 Awardees:

    Fullkontact

    What? Distinguished Squad Leader

Where? Tactical Gamer Project Reality Server: Map- Operation Archer/Canadian Forces.

    When? 10 May 2010

    Why?

Fullkontact started a Learn TG squad at the start of the round and I joined to help out. Fullkontact quickly took control of kit assignments and laid out his gameplan, we were to take a vehicle and proceed out of the main base. Upon arriving at our objective he instructed everyone about how we would proceed up the road, vehicle manned with driver and gunner, the rest of the infantry walking slowly up the road ahead of the vehicle. Fullkontact was very patient with the members of the squad and took his time to explain in detail what exactly we were supposed to do and observe, always reminding us of the principles of fire discipline and tactics. Fullkontact was always aware of where we needed to be and what we needed to be doing to help the team, always careful to not waste assets, and break contact with the enemy if neccesary. The round continued on, and we unfortunately lost, but Fullkontact was always alert, showing situational awareness, and giving competent orders to the squad. This method of sharing infantry tactics with fellow players and explaining them is a perfect example of what makes TG great, and Fullkontact exemplified that.

    Award: Distinguished Commander

    Class 1 Awardees:

    Ytman

    Game/Server: TG PR server

Place and Time: Dragonfly, 12th May 2010

Nomination: Ytman has been stepping up to the CO position quite a bit recently, and for the majority of the time he's been very successful. However what shone in my eyes was his commanding last night on Dragonfly for the brits, as the below AAR will explain.

Related AAR: The flags to be contested were, train, outskirts, north-west city, south city and militia deployment. At the start of the round the squads were formed up and ytman hadn't yet joined the server. Things were looking quite bleak with our infantry being stalled at outskirts it didn't look likely that us brits would push into the city, or worse we'd be pushed back.

Enter Ytman into the CO spot. From the second he got in he asked for a sitrep at outskirts (currently 1 inf and 3 inf were in the area) and also from just to the east of train (currently occupied by 7 Recce and 4 Armoured). Within moments he had executed and co-ordinated the capturing of outskirts and the destruction of the enemy armour. Without a thought he knew he'd have to strike north west quickly for any chance of a successful attack. Moving 2 inf from defensive positions at train to do a rooftop insertion at North-west city. It was done quickly and efficiently and the flag was greyed in seconds. However the enemy had a fight left in them, and 2 Inf by themselves weren't enough manpower to turn the flag.

Ordering a series of air drops Ytman had now asked for 1 Inf to move on foot to south city, and had 3 inf and 4 Armoured move to north-west, whilst also placing 7 Recce in the fields to the north to scout out the enemy who were attacking from the east. A few more minutes of fighting and north-west was under british control, and afaik 1 Inf took south city with no contest.

In the same situation as before Ytman got swift Air trans for 3 Inf to a position just west of Militia deployment, and 4 Armoured were also moving down south in support. 2 Inf moped up the enemy stragglers at norht west before being redeployed with 7 Recce to milita deployment.

All in all was a great round and a brilliant victory, good comms team wide via VOIP to the CO and SL mumble. I don't think the British team would have capped out the enemy without Ytman stepping up to CO.
