  • display memory problem...

I got the black screen when I started the game and then it crashed to the windows...
so I checked the "easy info" in the game directory in the start menu...
and I saw that I don't have enough "display memory" (mine is 64, and the system requirements are 128).

my question is: what can I do about it?

is there something I can do to have more "display memory"?

or is there alternative to keep the game running?

Uhh, best bet is to get a cheap card thats supported.

Geforce FX-5500 is like 50 bucks, ive got one in this computer now, and BF2 looks great, but ive got another computer(Down right now) with a 6800($194.99) and well, its down.

      You've found a 6800 for $200? The GT retails at $400.

In my understanding, there are basically 2 versions of the 6800 out there. One is for newer motherboards that are PCI Express port capable and is very pricey. The other version, which is for AGP ports, can be found for ~$200.

PCI Express is said to be many times faster than the older AGP standards.

I was just in CompUSA today. The AGP and PCI Express versions cost the same. Was retailing for $400. A 6600 costs $200.
