  • Question for BF2 players

I played the demo of BF2...... well, let's say a lot. Really I'm just wondering if it is worth my hard earned money??? Another thing, I'm wondering if it will run alright on my PC. For some reason, the demo ran...... well, let's say crappy. here is my specs

    Athlon XP 2400+ (2.01ghz)
    256mb pc-2700
    512mb pc-3200
    Chaintech Nvidia Geforce 6200a 256mb

That's the basic stuff. I truthfully don't understand why it ran so badly. I guess I just had my settings too high. Any help on either question would be nice.
    Thanks

You have two different types of ram? How does your computer even function?

      Re: Question for BF2 players

Playing BF2 on the TG servers has given me some of the best multiplayer experinces I've ever had, and I've been here about 2 weeks. BF2 is great, most of the playerbase however, is....nauseating

You should be able to run BF2 on the lowest settings, which IMO is better than BFDC ever was visually.

The full version on my computer ran exactly the same way the demo did, so don't expect your grahpics to get any better if you buy the full. It's definately worth your money, though. :)

His motherboard will run his PC3200 RAM at the lower PC2700 speed

For me the demo ran better... And thats the thing im pissed about.

I ran the demo on a Dell Deminsion 8250 P4 2.4Ghz witha BFG FX-5500 at 4x with things on medium on 1024x768...

My new computer can barly run the same thing with retail, and my new setup is a hella lot better.

This is really pissing me off, and EA support isnt helping me.

Heh..the system bus just runs with the lowest RAM, 166MHz in this case, unless he tries and overclocks it to 200MHz. It is definitely hurting his system to run a slower memory stick, especially if his system supports dual DDR.

That's just bad code on DICE's game engine. My rig should be able to play this game at much higher settings, but i find myself having to lower settings to *always* have a smooth game.
