      Re: Booted by Punkbuster

What I did was go to Punkbuster and downloaded the manual update file.

Place the file in your /battlefield2/pb folder and run the program from a command prompt. It will automatically connect to the internet and download the newest version of Punkbuster. Sometimes servers can have a hard time updating you while you play, and so you get kicked because you are running an older version.

            Re: Booted by Punkbuster

You have to save and run pbweb.exe in your BF2 punkbuster directory.

Here's the path to my pb directory:

            C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\pb

                Re: Booted by Punkbuster

There's a new alternative to PBweb that is listed in the URL that was posted up at the top of the thread. It's a very slick package and will update any game you have on your system that uses PunkBuster.

just run a search for a pb folder and you'll find it.

It is located one sub-level under your battlefield 2 directory.

My mistake.. I assumed the thread that was linked contained the post to the update tool.

Look for my post in that thread to download the update tool.
