I'm looking for a new headset to replace my ghetto-fab get-up and was wondering...are USB-port headsets as good or better than analog 3.5mm jacks? And if so, does the soundcard (my Audigy over the generic onboard) still process the sound for the USB?

USB's will usually force their own soundcard.

My personal headset is a Creative Fata1lty

Great feel, drowns out outside noise well. and has a detachable Mic boom. It really is the best 50 bucks I spent on my Comp/=.

So they have their own sound processing built in?
