Pretty good mix - nothing too surprising there.

It'd be nice to see some classic 2142 maps... Cerbere, Tunis Harbor, anyone?

Kind of hoped to see Mashtuur City make a return but that list is a nice one.

Whats a bf game without wake? lol

I guess this is another reason to pre-order, I'll get round to it at some point.

I'm with you Whiskey. Wake was a classic map in bf1942 and should have been left at that.

Looks like a nice compilation. They could think of leaving Karkand itself out... :D

Nearly a decade later, Battlefield 1942 still has some of the most impressive physics ever :D

yeah Sharqi is my fav as well. Oman though? IDK, the whole trying to move out and being pounded by the enemy jet within seconds kind of ruined it for me.

The old way to play these maps really does not apply. It is a whole new game with new equipment coding, player options, destructible terrain, etc. I am really glad it is not a pure urban map pack but I am skeptical about wake and think other maps like would have been a better option.

I do hope that these 4 bonus maps is a good sign for overall maps. Battlefield has had a bad trend with number of maps in their products declining since 1942 which had 16 maps (4 for each theater of war). I really hope we see a large number between 12-16 maps PLUS these 4 for the launch. Giving us 4 'bonus' maps is a large number and gives me hope that out of the box we will get a good variety of maps to keep things interesting. I might be biased but the game will only be as good as the maps we have to play it on... and the more options the better.

Question, will TG EVEN PLAY these maps on the MAIN server??? Consider that if you don't preorder or get one of the first copies, you will have to buy the map pack separately, will we actually get much of a chance to play them?

Sharqi I liked and the only map to have 3 separated initial spawn bases I think. Jalalalalabad was my own favourite though

Wake island is ok, very simple I think probably the main reason they keep repeating it. Someone suggested they should have a PR map in there :D

If you find yourself in a fair fight, then you have obviously failed to plan properly.
