The bit about 'animating perception' versus 'animating movement' sounds pretty smart!

Great link. I am looking forward to seeing what they are able to do with animated perception.
If it is anything like Mirror's Edge it should be awesome. I found Mirror's Edge to be one of the most immersive game experiences to date. The way that the screen moved with your running and seeing your own body while looking around added a more fluid 3d feel. If they can add that into BF3 it would create a great feel on the battlefield.
It is also nice to see that they are using what has worked well in other games and using the tech in BF3, instead of trying to recreate the wheel.

I'll have to check out Mirror's Edge!

I never liked head-bob in games... because IRL when you're actually running, you don't really perceive the world as bobbing... same with leaning. Go ahead and tilt your head sideways - notice how... well... up stays up?
