    Not sure if I like how the fence basically explodes a half second after you knife it, but could be a beta issue.

      You know, it could be that they want it to be like a real fence. It's not like you can run through chainlink fence at full speed IRL. It takes time to get through one. Perhaps this a compromise of the gameplay and realism.

      Or maybe it's just a glitch.

          Fences pretty much 'exploded' in BC2 as well. The FX is the same whether the fence is atually blown up or destroyed with a knife.

              Indeed they are. With all the turning around he does it seems a longer distance too. Judging by his movements moving from one flag to the other in a straight line would be a 10-15 second sprint.

                  yeha sprint did seem long, and really? exploding fence? especially chain link, you cant cut that with an ordinary knife, you need bolt cutters XD

                      Glad they went for that realism they keep talking about. Limited sprint worked well because people should not just run all the time and it made players think about the best time to use their sprint. If that gap you wanted to close was too wide and you ran out of sprint without enough cover then you paid the price. Oh well, the game sure does have a lot more arcade style features than previous titles... I mean come on even Bad Co 2 did not have regenerating vehicles.

                      I am sure I will enjoy the game and play it a lot, it is just a real shame some of the design decisions that have been made. Thank goodness for many of these so called 'features' being a server side setting.

                        Well, we know that a TG server will be set to the best Possible server side settings, so thats a Big Plus.

                          Unlimited Sprint = Cartoon Shooter.
                          Limited Sprint based upon Endurance = Realism Shooter.
                          Endurance Boost based upon Experience = Compromise.

                          So, Rank up, get Endurance Boost, Equip Perk, Utilize the powers of a Track Star.

                          That's how they should have done it.

                            Lol this is not news. It was like this in the Alpha.

                            Limited sprint was almost never more than an annoyance in BF2 imo. You talk about 'closing the gap' being more risky with limited sprint, but honestly in almost no situation in vanilla Battlefield will you ever be in that situation, where limited sprint actually gets you killed. PR? Maybe, but this is not PR or a military simulation.

                            The constant bitching about things nobody here has actually experienced is getting old.
