  • question on FF

Is the FF function for Mortars and claymores turned off?? I have yet to TK someone from either of those and that is soooo not the norm.

    Re: question on FF

Not sure about FF but I know you nailed me more than a handful of times. Powerful weapon. Have you been working with a spotter or in conjunction with any squads? This is something the 1st MIP is interested in accomplishing so I think I might start in on the support role in the next day or three.

      Re: question on FF

I always work in conjunction with my own squad. The splash damage is rather small but its pretty effective for clearing out a small area like the Bridge on Seine Crossing. I need to figure out how to use the smoke, is it an unlock?? Dont know yet..

      Anyone??

Do AT mines hurt friendly vehicles? (probably not if claymores don't)

I'd like to know about the mines, too. I'm always afraid to put them down.

From what I've seen the AT mines will not damage friendly vehicles, even when FF is on. They also stay around after you die, unlike the beta where they vanish five seconds after respawning.

              Re: question on FF

Mines only last for 30seconds after death. If u want to use smoke with the mortar you hit your "2" key to use smoke rounds just like using the machine gun on a tank. Always good to spot vehicles annd infantry for your team assets like helos, planes, mortars. When u use a mortar your minimap expands to a map that covers a part of your screen. Once someone is spotted, mortar launchers will see it. I fly jets like that too, and i expand the whole map so i can see where exactly they got spotted. Oh and mortar launchers, once u fire the first shot, be cautious because you become automatically spotted after u fire. So if someone on the other team has a mortar, its good to leave that spot quickly. Good tip is shhoot the first round, hit "E" to jump off the mortar then use your resupply box to give u another launcher then see if the enemy mortar hits yours, then deploy yours and kill him. Been doing that alot to counter another mortar.

I always want to run a full squad of mortars, see how much damage we can do on a infantry map, either use mortars as a shield, or deploy smoke for other teams to advance. Tanks can only take 3 hits before they get disabled....
