  • Changing sides

It seems every night during the middle of play I suddenly find myself on the opposing side. Even if I was the squad leader like I was last night. Does this happen to TG members or just outsiders. How does this script work? It is very disconcerting.

    Re: Changing sides

your saying that it pulled your squad apart and move you to the other side? I didnt think it did that, i thought it would move whole squads from side to side. The only time it will remove someone from a squad was when it is balancing teams and it will say in chat that so and so was move to balance teams. I could be wrong, maybe something has changed when it comes to the server balancing. If i remember correctly that it doesnt happen to TG members and supporting members due to a script on the server. Again, maybe im mistaken on how the scripts work.

      Re: Changing sides

The squad suffle happens at the start of the game. But when I get my ass kicked to the other side it is usually in the middle of the game and often into the squad that had just killed me. Then two minutes later I see the banner that i had just been balanced.

        Re: Changing sides

I know the default squad shuffle will break squads at the start of the round if it has to, but not in the middle. Any mid-round squad breaking is a server script.

If you alone are moved mid-game it is to balance the teams. TG members and supporting members are not exempt.

To the best of my knowledge, it takes whoever dies first after the script has determined balancing is needed. My advice is to avoid dying.

Is that why you're constantly jumping from side to side Melee?

He does that because his eyes tell him Gunney's claymores and mines are everywhere. Sadly his brain can't tell his eyes are lying. :p

Moving, yes...jumping, no. I don't like getting shot.

I think Photo was talking about switching back and forth between teams to balance :)

I'm pretty sure he was implying you are frequently the first to die ;)
