  • BF4 in Windowed View -- Unstable?

    Greetings,

Is there a known instability with BF4 when played in windowed mode?

I'm not entirely sure. In my experience, it was the opposite for me, for awhile. I had to run BF4 in windowed or borderless mode because full screen kept giving me crashes - mainly DX crashes. It did it with Splinter Cell: Blacklist too. I never understood it, tried all the obvious solutions and then some and just couldn't figure it out. Then one day, it just stopped crashing. I honestly don't remember what I did that may have fixed or inadvertently affected it - fresh re-install of game, fresh re-install of Windows (which at the beginning of this year when I rebuilt my rig with new hardware and this may have been happening shortly before I did that), fresh install of drivers for my GPU that I was using at the time. Whatever it was, it's gone now and been alright since.

    Just my two cents

so...why would you play in windowed mode anyways. Anything you can do windowed you can probably do with a second monitor. I thought you had that second monitor anyways. Just curious.

I'll be back on tonight I think...rocking the new gpu.
