  • EA Sale $17.95

I've been on the fence with this one since I play tested the betas. I'm asking for one compelling argument that might convince me to add this to my stable of games.

new maps have turned twitch fest urban warfare into armor support and open field fights with little cover (exception of cold war map + oasis cq)...heavier reliance on armor and artillery support.plus everyone is trying to learn the maps right now ...outside of VOIP and some minor tweaks DICE (imo) did a good job this time around.

plus vietnam expansion comes out like here this month and u can use a flamethrower to set euro players like Abel on fire. :P Timing is pretty good but i am biased i guess.

Find another game at the $20 mark on EAs store you want and you can basically get BC2 for free.:)

From some I've heard people say it's too chaotic and run-and-gun. From others, I hear it's very intense and exciting. To be honest, I think this game is for some, and not for others. Some feel it isn't tactical or teamwork-oriented enough, many of us here beg to differ, but in the end it boils down to preferences and opinions.

The best advice I can give is to check out gameplay videos, especially ones produced by TG members (E-Male and Silver would be a good place to start). While it can't tell the full story, it should give you an idea if its what you want.

Just took the plunge myself, at 20 odd euros delivered I could not resist.

It is indeed run and gun, but with some depth and nice toys. I like the points system and unlocks, though it seems most of the players have everything unlocked and are pwning me with some sort of stealth bomber or something :D Blowing up the buildings and scenery is very good fun though and its satisfying to send a 40mm grenade through the side of a building.

I would describe it as BF2 on speed. Personally I much preferred the more open maps with the tanks etc, the biggest problem I found is that firstly everyone else has all the unlocks, and secondly it can be hard to work out where the battle lines are.

You'll get much more mileage from BC2 at this point with all the new maps that have come out, and the upcoming Vietnam pack. At $15 it's a steal with all the new content rather than the $10 Hotzone rip off for MoH.
