  • WARNING: Griefers spoted!

Griefing: In online gaming, someone who purposely seeks to annoy the other players, especially his own teammates.

    http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=griefer
Just a heads up last night Chris_Hooper and I were playing a few rounds when 'magically' Objective A blew sky high without any enemy contacts in the area. With in seconds Objective B was gone as well. Many in the in-game chat said that this was a glitch that they had seen on other servers, even calling for the server to be reset so that the program would fix itself. However within a minute of first being noticed the round ended.

Next round no real issue game continued as normal

Third round, Objective A1 and B1 were lost in 30 seconds from spawn, however this time I saw why, a team member placed their full load of C4 and puled the trigger. In short Griefers are now invading BF:BC2.

This more then anything is to serve as a heads up so that if any of your Objectives magically go 'boom' you will know what to look for.

Yeah, I've seen it a few times, generally by people who just want to get into the Apache

I was in that round with you guys. It will be smoothed out once we have our own servers at launch.

Took us a bit to figure out what was going on, we were doing decent before that : )

This is a bug and will be fixed come release from what I've read.

You're acting like this is a new thing?
As long as you have multi player games, you will always have **** like this that will grief.

I think OP was just to raise awareness. We thought that we either really sucked, or they were buggy rushing.

                    Re: WARNING: Griefers spoted!

I saw some people in chat talking about this yesterday also; apparently one of our teammates did what you said.

I unintentionally did something bad too - I was blasting away at a building when it suddenly collapsed, killing an enemy and a teammate inside... : |
Only got -15 score for the teammate, which seems really low.

Learned my lesson though: don't blow a bunch of holes in a building with teammates in it.

Killing your own A and B is good so you get early access to your Armor and donīt have to wait around on your ass - because more Armor makes every infantry game more awesome and tactical !

Let's say they patch C4 damage on friendly objectives. Now you'll have C4 guarding those said objectives. Hmm...gonna be tough if thats the case. I can see Ikonic sitting there in the attic, throw C4 down every time someone comes in range and then blowing them up.

To clarify yes someone from our own team was setting off C4 to destroy the very assets that they should have been defending. People may be seeing this as a glitch, but I really wonder how many times was it an actual 'glitch' or some [word that can not be mentioned] who thought it would be funny to mess around with people.
