  • The "ninja" UAV

    Ok...I saw it happen...now I wonder...would we allow it?

I would say not...but it should be mentioned:

Strapping 6 C-4 onto a UAV recon and landing the recon near/onto the M-Com. what do you think? hahahah

It's against the suggested use but MAN OH MAN was it used to great effect...killed the 1st M-COM B in under a minute...

Its a cheap tactic, and far from the only one.

I'd say that more then likely it won't be allowed in the retail since there seems to be a lot of complaints about it.

Not a lot of point discussing rules for this kind of thing until we look at the retail version in a month, too much will change between now and then.

If you have to ask if it's against rules it probably is

As funny as it is, I think it violates "realistic" use of equipment.

              Re: The "ninja" UAV

This and all other cheap tactics have only one solution: Admins, like the great ones we have at TG. The law books are useless without police and prosecutors and prisons. The server rules mean nothing without people to report violations and admins to punish violations.

You will never manage to build a game to prevent cheap tactics. There will always be cheap tactics. Making FF off for crates to prevent griefing. lets the defenders booby trap crates with impunity. Keeping FF off to prevent tking means C4 jumping and other insanity. You cannot fix stupidity or asinine behavior with code. You need a human in the loop. Which is why I'm a supporting member. I play games for fun, and the smacktards make me annoyed. So I play TG, because it just isn't fun any other way.

They should give you a negative score for blowing up your own equipment.

There is the "I want to crawl on my knees 20 kilometers to the next controlpoint" relistic and then there is the blunt obvious realistic like in this case.

I dont say this to start any trouble, but after September 11, 2001 . And now more than ever , the tactics we military are up against (by terrorist) are much like this tactic.

I saw a video where a guy used the UAV to roadkill enemies. I'm guessing this wouldn't be allowed either.

I noticed that ramming the UAV is epic fail the other day. Some guy in the apache was flying right for me, firing the rockets and missing, I thought he was going to crush my UAV, what a AS.....then lol what a dumbass as his apache plowed into the ground and the UAV survived without a scratch.
