  • Best Programs to Record In-Game Play

I am looking to start recording in-game and I was wondering if you guys/girls had any suggestions.

I have used WeGame in the past and it was quite good.

Obviously there is Fraps, but it is $37 so wegame looks a lot more attractive because it is free.

Does anyone have any other suggestions, free or otherwise?

    Thanks in advance.

    detailed list here

    I found for BC2
gameclaw and wegame had problems with sound going out of sinc with visuals, but they may be just on my system
fraps is good and reliable and thats what I use for all recording now

Go simple and use Fraps or Xfire (The latter also works for screenshots).

Fraps is the most reliable, too often i have 'recorded' a few hours of gameplay only to find that the file is corrupted, out of sync, magically disappeared or whatever the program can conjure up at me

FRAPS for the win. Also you get lifetime updates. It too can do screen shots.

I have been debating on purchasing fraps. I plan to reformat/replace my comp within the next year or so, it should be as easy as cutting/pasting the files and migrate them over, correct?

Hold your horses? How can I have fraps installed without paying anything if it cost $37? I even remember downloading it from http://fraps.com/ so it's not some pirate copy..

I think fraps is your best program even tho it might cost some money it's as stated already your most reality option our there.

I'm not sure if they have it anymore, but I know fraps used to have a free trial version. That might be what you have Abel.

There is a free trial version Abel which simply puts a watermark saying "www.fraps.com" on ver video you record, as well as restricting some other things.

i think its worth mentioning again that wegame is totally free !
It doesn't work on everyones systems, eg for me it records BC2 with the sound out of sinc with visuals, however it may work on yours, it's worth a go and it is free
