So I got my first platinum medal last night - and have several more weapons that are almost there.

Am I correct in assuming that you don't continue amassing medals on a weapon once you get platinum?

    Sadly, no.

I just move on to a new gun and try to get platinum in that. In a way, it helps versatility in getting used to each gun style. I don't plan on platinum every gun (at least not yet), but once I get all the platinums I want (for now), I'll stick to my favs.

I wish there was a medal for helping your team instead of personal performances.

Squad points. Also, there is the gold squad pin, win a rush round pin, win a conquest round pin, etc. Why do medals matter anyway?

You have not seen the Platinum shock paddles, med kits, ammo boxes, recon balls and repair tools? They are all the rage and look awesome on the battlefield. ;)

Besides the bronze, I do not care about weapon medals. I use them all every once in a while but usually just go back to my favorites for the headshot "lulz"

Awards are for games that lack good gameplay and depth, so they have to make up for it with gimmicks. Ok that might be a bit harsh but overall it is true. I know a lot of people who quit playing a game as soon as they reach their max rank or get all the award/achievements.

A great game needs none of this. Besides, soooo many things great players do never show in stats.

Just curious, why do you care about a bronze medal.?

One of the pins requires all of the bronze medals.
