  • Windows Task Monitor internet usage

I was playing around with the Windows Task Manager this morning and noticed the 'Networking' window that checks internet speed usage. I started up my BFBC2 game to see what I was running at and saw I was using just below 10% or about 10Mbps. I must assume that this is the speed that my computer is talking with the server.

Anyone else tried running this feature and how much do you see while in game?

I've never thought to check that status when in game. Will have to check and post.

Let me change that reading I mentioned earlier. From what I'm seeing on my Windows Task Manager, internet bandwidth is just under .08% of 100Mbps which equates to about 80Kpbs. That is the download from the TG server. I've got a supposedly 3Mbps DSL so I got plenty of bandwidth available. I used to fuss at the kids using their laptops via my Wifi router and see that they don't make much impact. I notice that when I've got my ipad running a Netflix movie, it does not degrade my gameplay.
