  • Manually entering server names

In case you have missed this, there is a way to manually enter the server you want to play on, edit the "GameSettings.ini" file.
For example, I couldn't find GameArena BF:BC2 Beta #47 in the server browser. But if I put that in the "RecentGames=" line in the "GameSettings.ini" file the server showed up in the pop out server list on the right.

You have to restart the game for this to take effect though.

    Re: Manually entering server names

I should have read this 1st. Didn't work for me.. :(

Can you create a TG list and post here? At least those with a problem can all join same servers.?!

      Re: Manually entering server names

You need to get the server name exactly right when you write it into the gamesettings.ini, not very easy, especially with the confusing names.
I donīt have a list but this seems to be the TG server of choice:

      EA- Virgina- Wolf Server #5

If I write that, then it shows up in my history.

        Re: Manually entering server names

I guessed it needed to be the same. When I had the list up, it showed the name as:

        EA - Virginia PUBLIC - Wolfservers.com 5

        Unless there is 2?

I did try the 1 you suggested too as I copied it from the TS channel hoping it was right, but it didn't work. I'll try again later. I'll post my game settings ini file and you can see for yourself.. :)

        Oh and nice sig pic!

            Re: Manually entering server names

This is strange, when I look at the file now it says "EA - Virginia PUBLIC - WolfServers.com 5;"
Strange characters in the name, perhaps they have introduced something that makes manual editing impossible?

Try this, the strange characters show up as boxes in the file for me.

            FavoriteGames=EA - Virginia  PUBLIC - WolfServers.com  5;
