  • Anti Aliasing not working fully ?

Does anyone else still get some jaggies regardless of how high they set their AA ? I have mine at x8 and i still see jaggies on stuff such as lamposts and the tops of buildings... its quite odd.

also while im here, anyone know if its normal for the game to take ages to add a server to your favourites ? im trying to add tactical gamer servers to favourites and i clicked the add to favourites button about 5 minutes ago and it's still "waiting for data"...

If you're playing in Dx9 I don't believe AA works. Is your Dx set at 9, 10, or 11?

Re: Anti Aliasing not working fully ?

Im running DX10 on Windows 7

I think it's something to do with the game not being able to apply AA to Alpha Texture such as fences/grass etc

        kinda dissapointing

          Jaggie central here too.
Win 7, ATI 5770 in DX11 mode and aa set to 4x and it's bloody awful.

Man, I would hope that is something that will be addressed?!? I love the game and will keep playing it because it's great fun..but come on!! No AA

Ah well, my 7959gt can just barely handle the game now anyway, but when I upgrade I want to be able to run some AA.

Re: Anti Aliasing not working fully ?

Just installed my 5850 last night.
DX 11 all jacked to the max (I only game in 1280 X 1024), not as good as I expected.
AA not all that impressive. If there is an issue I hope they fix it soon.

Anyone have anymore information on this?
I have tried the Ea forums and such but I cannot find any useful posts that address this issue at all, if no one is complaining about it then it can't be a widespread issue, but I desperately need to be rid of these damn jaggies. :(

Haven't heard anything as of yet...dont think it is a widespread issue as I have not experienced it at all. The only "questionable" video I gt is in SP videos when characters are speaking, around their mouths gets liney

You guys might wanna try playing at a high resolution. That can sometimes help smooth things out

Take note, what apears to be 2x in game, will display 1x in the games settings.ini file. Also, this is the same with 4x in game, its really 2x in the games settings.ini.

So pump it up to 8x for 4x? :) I'll try it later..
