  • Where to buy Black Ops?

Steam has preorder up. 60 euros is the price i'm getting. http://store.steampowered.com/app/42700/

Or if you're in europe you can order the hardcopy from play.com for 30 pounds which is a good deal. http://www.play.com/Games/PC/4-/1502...s/Product.html

Please post up if you have other deals to share.

Would be nice to find something comparable in Canada :( Here it costs close to 67 dollars after taxes...which is a huge amount.

I probably go for steam. Because that way I dont have to worry about updates and I like the friendslist overlay ingame :)

It's a full Steamworks game, so you could technically find the best deal, as it will go through Steam regardless.

I saw that BO will be sold at D2D for the consolized price of $59.95. I also saw that they have a "lockandload" promo going on right now tha will supposedly give you $10 off any FPS game. Hopefully that promo will continue through the release of BO.

Unfortunately, I just checked the D2D website and the lockandload promo ends 10/25.

Re: Where to buy Black Ops?

I know a code that takes 15% off, if anyone is interested. PM me, it takes $8.99 USD off, so that makes it around the same as retail $49.99 price with tax. By the way, anyone know why D2D charges tax?

Why isn't D2D much cheaper if it's just a download?

I've always wondered that myself. But, since they press millions of DVD's, I would expect there wouldn't much in the way of savings there.

Probably not, but I'll get my physical disk. I bought wipeout on ps3 network, and hate that it's tied to the network and ps3.

Disc will still go through steam, so. Once it's linked it tied to that Steam account.

I pre-ordered mine on Newegg for $49.99. Oops, maybe I should have mentioned that here 2 months ago when it was that price. It looks like it's back at $59.99.

Pre-purchased mine the old fashioned way, through Steam.
