  • To Prestige, or not to Prestige...that is the question...

So..I am almost to level 50..I have every single gun and attatchment and stuff unlocked, and find that just like WaW, I use 2 or 3 kits, and that is about it..

So..I am debating..should I go Prestige like Drona (already to like level 25 or so in 1st round of Prestige) or just stay at 50 and get pwnded in mah hed by you newbs?!?!?!?

Are you going to go Prestige?

Wow, that didn't take long. Does it take as long as MW2 to get to max. level or have you guys just been playing far too much?

I have only prestiged once out of all the COD titles but liked it. It kept things interesting as I liked working towards something. But the best part was that the extra kit seemed to suit me. 5 was just not enough, the 6th one allowed me to have a specialised kit (ex. shotgun ubber runner for frustration relief) or experimental kit without sacrificing my main stay kits. If you hit max level in approx 30 hours then not to hard to do again.

not worth it to me, you can cover all your kit needs with the 5 slots given so what are you gaining?

I will prestige at least once. Most likely, I will go through it to the end as, Longbow said, it's fun to be working towards something. Plus, I think there is other stuff you unlock through the prestige system... face paints, camo, etc.

I'm gonna Prestige at least once. Need the extra spot, the motivations to do something, and the extra achievements.

Same here. I'm about 2/3 of the way through of prestige 1 and probablywill hit that prestige button again as soon as I can :D

I also quite like the feel of working twords something. Besides ... what else to do with all the XP you get just for playing? Would be a shame to waste them wouldnt it? :icon12:

I think it'd be an easier choice than it was in previous CoD titles, since you don't have to grind to level 52 to get your favourite gun, you can buy it as soon as you get to like level 10 or whatever it was that you need to buy new guns. Plus it doesn't seem to take all that long to get to top level again.

P.S. Do you lose all your CoD $$$ as well when you prestige?

                      yep!

you loose absolutely everything ... except ... all that remains is your playercard, clan-tag, the ability to stick those to your guns and your "lifetime-challanges" everything else is back to 0.

I will prestige once immediately, and after that I dunno. I'd like to eventually go all the way but it takes so long and I know I will get bored of it long before then so I may spread it out through several stints of when I'm in the mood.

I personally don't see a reason to prestige as I like having my many guns and only use around 3 kits, I just wish Black OPS had a shield it was so much fun in MW2. But then again I get bored easily and might prestige just for the hell of it.

At least once, because I definitely need the extra kit. Getting to 50 in Black Ops doesn't take much time at all.

I don't think I will do it at leaset not at first. I prestiged 10 times in CoD WaW and it was nice having the extra slots. I will probably wait until I want the game to be fresh again.
