Well, If you want to make a spray of, for example, a battle tux.
      You could have this image:

Or you could make the white surrounding into a transparent layer.
This would, in turn make the battle tux look as if it were in-game.
Like this: (Note: Poor bubble trimming, sorry)

What really annoys me is the people with sprays that look exactly like a T or CT and they spray them on a wall and it takes you a second to figure out its just a transparent spray.

Any member using a spray like that on our server is likely to get banned without warning. They're completely unacceptable.

Is it not a tactic having a spray of a person....... Did Britain not use cardboard cutouts of tanks and planes in the 2nd world war?

I would say it was a pretty similar idea.

All I know, is that it's unacceptable behaviour on our servers. There is a big difference between what we did in WWII to fool recon planes and spies, and what CT's do in the sort of engagements we fight in on the server.

When you think about it, our characters are excellent graffiti artists. They can make elaborate sprays in seconds. Salute to CTs and TS.

                      Re: Making Transparent Sprays.

In my early days on the server, before I migrated to the forums and actually knew the words that made up the rules, I was striving my little heart out to make a transparent spray of a T's profile to fool enemies for use on the server. Using MS Paint.

Fortunately for yours truly, someone saw my T with a white checkered background and guessed at my intent, warning me of the consequances. :-P

You still haven't made anything transparent!

Transparent sprays are great, and I can see why people want them, but I prefer to stick with my Tux spray the way it is. I primarily use it for marking a downed bomb, and the bright white background makes it easier to spot.

good job, and root, i was just using that as an example because it was the only spray i had that was a character, not a PCS logo.

I understand that. I was just reminding people that sprays can serve a tactical purpose, but they ideally need to have backgrounds to be effective.
