  • Adding Realism

    I want to introduce a plugin that has been out for a bit that introduces some realistic effects into CSS.

    This does not alter any weapon damages except weight and your speed due to it.

    I'll be loading this on most likely tomorrow or tonight and see how it plays. I've reduced some of the settings so it's not quite so imposing. If the server crashes tonight i'll be enabling some admin tools that were disabled and enabling this as well.

    I have a tendency to key out three or four things and then let them battle for supremacy while I key, so there's a lot of backspacing as potential statements are slaughtered and eaten by the victors. ~

        I'm absolutely thrilled to see it finally come onto the server. This might steal me back from Dystopia. On another note-

          I think that we should keep it the way it is now. But that is just IMO.

                    Any reason for this?

                    I, too, am leary about this mod after the overwhelming negative response that we recieved while the weapon damage mod was up and running. I am more than willing to give it a try, at least, because it sounds interesting.

                          Hmm. If the AWP were set to a high enough speed penalty, could it be re-enabled on the server?

                            possibly but baby steps right now. This mod in this form is going to require some tweaking. As of right now the viewpush is a bit unnerving so i'm going to be tweaking a lot of those values. After that I'll have to tweak the weapon weight values.

                              Yeah, did you note the little sentence about implementing Some Guy's mod, which is the one that people didn't like here?

                              This mod looks like it might be fairly easy to enable and disable... could we have "realism mod nights"? I know Root used to have "unrealism" mod nights with the BF2 server.
