  • Hltv?

Ok, I've checked out HLTV.org and tried to figure out what I'm suppose to be doing to watch a match, but it didn't go so well. Maybe it's because I'm half asleep, but can someone help me out and clear up exactly what's suppose to happen and how I can watch a match?

Is there suppose to be software to install, stand on one foot while whistling Snoop, eating more Vit. C? Help............

Took a bit, but I found your answer:

How can I watch a match being played?
To watch a match, just find the HLTV ip for the match. Connect to the HLTV ip as you would anyother gameserver. Then you will be connected and be able to watch the match.

So I guess we'll be told that ip.

    The HLTV faq is here:

    http://www.hltv.org/?pageid=6#hltv21

I guess HLTV connects to the game as a single spectator and then 're-broadcasts' the info?

Thanks, I must have missed that in the FAQ? Much appreciated!

Yep, you'll still be able to cam anyone that you want, just like if you were a spectator in the actual game, but this way there's only one extra "player" actually on the game server...

Actually, the demo files are going to be recorded and then made available for download, I believe. These will let you view the action from any players perspective (just like spectating a regular game). Much better than just a video for watching the action.

It looks like I lied. Valve disabled HLTV on Feb 18. It will not be available for the tournament.
