  • Scripting Help

I've decided to try my hand at some CS:S scripting. I've started out by completely biting the code written by Monkerz to make a set of scripts that change my teamsay binds based on which map/side I'm on. I use these binds mostly when I can't use my mic.

I use my keypad for all binds.
    i.e.
    If I'm a T on Italy:
    bind "kp_home" "Watching long hall"
    bind "kp_uparrow" "Watching cellar"
    bind "kp_pgup" "Watching Apts"
bind "kp_ins" "Falling back to hostages"

If I'm a CT on Italy:
    bind "kp_home" "Scouting long hall"
    bind "kp_uparrow" "Scouting cellar"
    bind "kp_pgup" "Scouting Apts"
    bind "kp_leftarrow" "Following main unit"
    bind "kp_5" "Following second unit"
    bind "kp_rightarrow" "Following diversion"

So on and so forth for each map/side. Of course this is the easiest script in the world especially considering that Monkerz did all the hard work.

My question is: Now that I have the bug, can anyone point me to some good reference sites. Also, I'm a coder by profession and I've found that the best way to learn a new syntax is to complete a project in it, so suggestions on what to build would also be appreciated.
