  • Any info on server size, and team organization?

Has anyone found info on how many players per team? Any hints of the team's organization? Will there be any kind of an organizational structure, or is it team-vs.-team?
I'm half-expecting team organization of some kind, just because I saw the commo-rose in one of the videos :)

Servers scale up to 64 players. Structure should be as good as the pc centric BF games(if not better) as there are squads, squad leaders, a commander of some sort and multiple voip channels.

Check this thread out for info on the game - doesn't tell you everything I just mentioned but almost everything else you can think of is listed there.

That's an amazing thread, thanks for the link. I wish Steam had a pre-order or pre-load function for RO2.

I believe they will, the game isn't available until August 30th. Tripwire and Valve have historically worked well together.

As long as the promised VOIP works then we have a winner!

What it sounds like to me is that squads are set up like America's Army 3, with a squad leader spawn system like BF2s, but tweaked for balance. This sounds like a win to me.

Yeah, I really like the fact that you can't spawn on SL if there is an enemy presence in the immediate area.

Game is sounding better and better, I could care less about flashy graphics and ultra real sound, as long as the game looks and sounds half decent and has the teamwork functionality built in, then I am all for it.

Yeah, this is shaping up much better than BF3, maybe this will be my next big game!

Jeepo, I agree with the assesment of BF3 you gave in the BF3 section. I was totally turned off by it. Very BC2ish and felt nothing like BF2. Maybe with the larger maps and other features, it'll be better, but I just don't dig it.

I've been playing RO since the very first day of the first beta back in 2004. I've been playing all this time and have been greatly anticipating RO2. I have complete confidence in Tripwire to deliver.
