I've been using Firefox 3 for a few weeks now, without addons, and it's performing splendidly.

I've kept my Firefox 2 installation by running Firefox 3's "portable" version in a separate directory on my computer. The Firefox 2 installation remains completely unaffected.

I've been using Firefox for probably around a year now and I'm not big on the addons, but I do like the StockTicker addon. If you have a few stocks you want to watch this is an awesome addon

Been using FireFox forrrr i'd say about 4 months now. Love it. I love the addons and the themes. I use the Download status toolbar, the one addon that you can see your areas whether on, and the AeroFox theme. Oh and FoxyTunes

Been using firefox for years, and won't be going back any time soon. Lots of add ons including
            Stylish,
            Smartbookmarks Bar (awesome!!),
            SearchLoad Options,
Resizeable Textarea (extremely useful for forums)
Make Link (use constantly many times a day for the posts I do here)
ImageBot (could not be easier to host images for forums and such, works with photobucket and imageshack, use it daily)

            Get Direction from google maps
            Fullerscreen
            Fasterfox
            Foxmarks bookmark synchronizer
Download Statusbar (a must have so that the stupid download box will never bother you again)
Auto Copy (extremely helpful in all the copy and pasting I do in the forums)
Adblock Plus (try running without it on most sites after a new Firefox bata, and can't believe how much crap is usually on a site)

For those that don't know, the portable apps version is awesome, both for testing and to keep on your thumb drive
I am using it now so I don't have to actually install the Beta 5.

Make sure you guys post themes you use:
I have OldFactory Black and OldFactory Black/Rust, and sometime pimpzilla. :D

I got a PM asking what a "portable" app was. It's not for handheld devices, per se.

Firefox Portable is designed to be installed on portable PC media, like a USB drive. "Portable" apps run without any installation being necessary on the machine on which they're used. Simply extract the portable application onto the USB drive, then carry it to another machine and launch the application from the USB drive.

All of your settings (in the case of Firefox: bookmarks, cookies, etc) are saved on the USB drive and follow you wherever you go.

Just like Wyzcrak said below, and here is the link
                http://portableapps.com/
I use a bunch of them, like the VLC portable media player

3b5 is fantastic. The "awesome" bar is NOT too proud in its name -- the damn thing is amazing.

The only reason I haven't dropped Fx2 entirely is addon compatibility.

I'm also a Firefox honk. Who said they're not big on the addons? Catman? The addons are what make Firefox so great. So you like viewing sites littered with ads everywhere? I cringe whenever I'm on a computer other than my own trying to browse the web.

Whenever FF3 final comes out of course I'll update when the extensions get updated too.

Firefox + extensions is where it's at. I'm using "Stumble Upon", "Fire FTP", and various others. I simply could not work without firefox.

Yeah, I'm not big on addons, but I haven't ever really found anything that I just felt like I absolutely HAD to have. Maybe I'll spend some more time looking through the addons :)
