    Tk Ftw

So this is where wyz has been going while shirking out on his commander duties.

Anyways, just letting you guys know that I will be playing CS:S more as part of testing my video card issues. With loading the latest Beta NVidia drivers, my game time before error on CS has gone from 15 seconds, to around an hour and a half. Nice improvement, but I'd prefer no errors.

I figured you guys might like some background: I suck at CS. Always have, and I probably always will. I have major issues in telling the difference between CTs and Terrorists, hence last night: for what seemed like no reason, I blasted my teamate in the back with a 12-gauge shotgun. Sorry about that, I hope it didn't cause any long-term health problems. My radar didn't update fast enough for me to notice you weren't actually going to turn around and head-shot me with a Deagle.

Anyways, I don't know the maps, so I'll probably stick close to NSers like Wyz or Drew because if I do shoot them in the back it won't matter because they're used to me TKing them with nade spam.

PS: I forgot how fun NS could be without random idiots ruining the game. I'll do my best to stop being one.

Freudian slip? You forgot how fun CS was without random idiots?

Yes, CS requires intelligent people to be tolerable, in my opinion.

I continue to have the same problem with FF. I'm working on taking time to tell who's who, but it usually results in me dying as I decide.

Darkilla: In short, NS is pretty much really fast chess. With guns. Apophis: I haven't seen anyone say that SM's are better than non-SMs. Nordbomber: This is THE first server I've seen where either side can comeback from out of seemingly nowhere with the right teamwork. en4rcment: I have NEVER experienced the type of gameplay that I have found here. Nightly I am amazed at the personalities and gaming talent. Zephyr: Apophis is clearly a highly sophisticated self-aware AI construct that runs on a highly modified toaster oven in Wyzcrak's basement.

Holds true in both cases, but yes: I meant CS.

Towards the end (before my lock-up), I tried positioning myself either side-by-side or behind my teamates (covering the rear, which saved our butts a few times). That way, I can shoot anything moving with little fear of it being friendly. Watching the radar is easy (played a lot of Halo), but it seems like it can lag at times, and I'll check my 12 and see no one on the radar and just start blasting. Solution: don't stand in front of me.
