    Battlefield and Teamspeak: How to make it easy.

    How to set a keybinding to switch channels without leaving your battlefield game.

    Open teamspeak and join the Tactical Gamer server.
    Click settings > key settings >
    Click the add button from the keybindings menu.
    Click "set" to define the first key.
    In the actions section select "Switch to" and "Channel list"
    Next expand the "Channel to add" drop down menu and choose "Coalition".
    Click add.
    Repeat for Opposition.

    I use page up for Coalition and page down for Opposition

    page up and down have bindings in battlefield. i use combos like CTRL+SHIFT+NUMPAD

    might want to bind the main BF channel too as we all jump back to it between maps.

    Well, I have never used page up or page down in BF...

    Weird, as I used Page Up for coalition, Page Down for Opposition and Home for the main BF channel...

    I keep it simple cause I'm a Canuck. I use S for Stand by Room, O for Opposition and ............. you get it........ right? No...........ok ok and C for Coalition. In the heat of a battle and me dyin lots, I don't have the time to try and remember what keys I programmed. This game has enough of those. :mrgreen:

    page up and down scroll the console window. so when you list out all maps or players you can page up to see the ones that scrolled off the screen.

    i use them all the time to add people to my buddy list.

    Why not configure TeamSpeak to work in all games. I have my setup for ALT-CURSORUP and ALT-CURSORDOWN.

    One moves me up a channel and the other down in the channel list. So... if you know the order of the channels and what you are currently in, you could hop back and forth easily.

    Plus, it will work in other games' channel that aren't labeled "Colalition" etc.

    ...more two pennies from me.

    Two reasons why I don't do that: I don't play any other games right now. My keyboard doesn't have a "CURSORUP" or "CURSORDOWN" key.

    Implementing TS into one server was nice since we don't have to know a billion IPs but it made keybindings a bit different. I guess having lots of games here that use TS make it different. I only played GR at first so keybindings were simple, except for that one server that had slightly different channel names. :P

    It would be neat if we could put custom sounds for each channel. Then when we switch to the BF main channel it could play a wave file that reminded you of BF like, "Channel Battlefield 1942". Then you could use the next channel bindings a bit better.

    I think it would be best if somebody invented telepathy. It would be so much easier.

    Ventrillo is a really descent comm program and it supports just that. Including voice commands that execute tasks.

    You can play your own WAV files for most actions or on the fly.

    That would be neat but I wouldn't want to switch programs for something silly like that. There aren't many games where I need to switch channels often.
